Macy's Hosts Annual Operation Happy Children

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Holiday tradition continued at Macy's Downtown Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

Macy's held its annual "Operation Happy Children," a morning where 200 preschoolers got to have breakfast with Santa Claus.

The kids are from the Parents in Community Action Head Start program. They help low-income families in Hennepin County.

After breakfast with Santa in the 12th floor Skyroom, and some special face-painting, the kids went down to the 8th floor and walked through SantaLand.

They got to spend time with Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas.

The kids also got to pick out toys to take home.

This was Macy's ninth year of putting on "Operation Happy Children."
