MACC To Offer Free Dog Training To 'Power Breed' Owners

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis Animal Care & Control is now offering free dog training for pet owners who purchase "power breeds", such as Pit Bulls or Rottweilers.

Pet owners who purchase these breeds can get up to two months of free dog training.

The training comes as part of an agreement with Minneapolis Animal Care & Control and the Animal Humane Society.

The agreement also gives pet owners a few introductory class, humans only, and a $20-off training pass at any of the Animal Humane Society locations.

The Animal Humane Society has locations in Golden Valley, Buffalo, Coon Rapids, St. Paul and Woodbury.

The two organizations hope the new agreement will help increase the socialization and training of dogs in Minneapolis.
