M.E. Rules Homicide In Man's Death 15 Years After Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a man who was shot multiple times in 2000 but died 15 years later a homicide.

Sheldon Mason, who was 40 years old at the time of his death in April, was shot in October 2000 on the 1500 block of East 25th Street in Minneapolis.

According to his obituary, Mason, of Red Lake, Minnesota, was married to his wife in 2004, while he was in Hennepin County Medical Center.

He died April 13, 2015.

Minneapolis Police are investigating the case.
