Lynx Top Mercury 72-64 In 2nd Game Of WNBA Tourney

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Tan White had 16 points and Seimone Augustus added 12 to help the Minnesota Lynx beat the Phoenix Mercury 72-64 in the second game of the WNBA preseason tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Candice Dupree had 14 points to lead the Mercury.

The matchup concluded the first day of the league's first preseason tournament.

The Chicago Sky beat the Indiana Fever 73-66 in the tournament's opening game. The Sky and Lynx will meet in Sunday's final, with Indiana and Phoenix playing in a consolation matchup.

The tournament is being held in conjunction with a girls' AAU event and has included practices, clinics and autograph sessions with WNBA players and coaches. It all part of the lead-up to the start of the league's 18th season May 16.
