Lynx To Open 2017 Season May 14 At Xcel Energy Center

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – After coming up just short in the WNBA Finals, the Minnesota Lynx announced its schedule for the 2017 season on Tuesday.

The Lynx will host the Chicago Sky on May 14 at Xcel Energy Center. The Lynx will play all their 2017 home games in St. Paul due to major renovations taking place at Target Center during the summer and early fall next year.

The Lynx will have three nationally televised games, and they'll look for revenge when they host the champion L.A. Sparks on July 6 and Aug. 11. The Lynx were looking for their third WNBA title in five years this season, but lost to the Sparks in a nail-biting Game 5.

Minnesota's preseason schedule will be released at a later date. The Lynx are entering their 19th WNBA season.
