Minnesota Lynx Re-Sign Janel McCarville

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx have reacquired center Janel McCarville.

The defending WNBA champions announced the signing Saturday. Terms were not released.

Before the 2015 season, McCarville told the Lynx she would sit out for that season. She recently played in the Turkish League.

The Lynx acquired the former University of Minnesota player from the New York Liberty in a three-team trade in 2013 that sent Candice Wiggins to Tulsa.

In her first season with the Lynx, McCarville started 32 games, averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists. In 2014, she started all 34 games for the Lynx and averaged 7.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.
