Lynx Re-Sign G Anna Cruz

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Lynx announced Thursday they have re-signed guard Anna Cruz.

Cruz played 22 games for the Lynx last season, averaging eight points, 3.6 rebounds and three assists per game. In the WNBA Playoffs, she averaged 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists in all 10 games to help lead the Lynx to its third WNBA title in five seasons.

Cruz most recently played for Spain at the Rio Olympics, winning a silver medal. She averaged 8.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists as a starting guard for all eight games. She had a team-high 14 points, including the game-winning basket, against Turkey. She scored nine points, had four rebounds and four assists in the gold medal game loss to Team USA.

The Lynx are back in action Friday night at Connecticut.
