Source: 4 Minnesota Lynx Players Picked For Olympic Team

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- When the USA women's basketball Olympic team is announced Wednesday, four Minnesota Lynx players will be on it.

Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore have all made the final roster, according to a source, and will all represent the United States in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

It is the most players the Lynx have ever had on an Olympic team. The previous high was three.

This will be Moore's and Whalen's second Olympics, and the third for Fowles and Augustus.

Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve is an assistant on Geno Auriemma's staff. It will be her first Olympics.

The United States has won gold in every Olympics since 1996, which means the team with five Lynx will be looking to make it six in a row.
