Lynx Olympians Returning To Minneapolis Monday Night

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fresh off winning the Olympic gold medal at the Summer Olympics, the four Minnesota Lynx players are returning home Monday night.

Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles and coach Cheryl Reeve will arrive back in Minneapolis Monday night. The closing ceremony for the games is Sunday night. The five should land at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at about 6:15 p.m., and fans are encouraged to welcome them home at the airport.

Team officials say fans should gather at the baggage claim area of Terminal 1.

Team USA beat Spain 101-72 on Saturday to claim the gold medal. The Lynx return to regular season play on Friday on the road against the Connecticut Sun.
