Lynx Host Indiana Sunday For Game 1 Of WNBA Finals

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Lynx will have home court advantage in the WNBA Finals after sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the Western Conference Finals.

That's because the Indiana Fever beat the New York Liberty in an upset in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Lynx beat the Fever in both meetings this season. As a result, the Lynx will host Game 1 of the WNBA Finals at 2 p.m. Sunday at Target Center.

The Lynx also host Game 2 of the best-of-five series at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Game 3 will be next Friday at Indiana. Game 4, if necessary, would be Oct. 11 at Indiana and a decisive Game 5, if necessary, would be back in Minneapolis on Oct. 14.

The Lynx faced Indiana in the 2012 WNBA Finals, with the Fever winning that series 3-1.

Minnesota beat Indiana this year 78-69 on June 6 and 81-65 back on Sept. 4.
