MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore has been named Western Conference player of the week.

The WNBA announced the award Monday. It's Moore's first player of the week honor of the season and 11th of her career.

Moore led all Western Conference scorers for the week with 24.5 points per game. She ranked third in the WNBA in rebounding with 9.5 rebounds per game.

Moore posted a season-high 29 points in Minnesota's July 10 game at Chicago. She added 10 rebounds, a season-best six assists and two steals for the night. Moore also set a franchise single-game record with 14 3-point attempts.

Moore followed up with a game-high 20 points and a team-best nine rebounds in a July 12 win over San Antonio.
