Lynx F Maya Moore Named Western Conference Player Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The WNBA announced Monday that Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore has been named the league's Player of the Week in the Western Conference.

It's the second time this season and the 12th time in her career she's been named a Player of the Week. Moore led all scorers in the league last week, averaging 29 points per game. She also averaged eight rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

She scored a game-high 26 points last Sunday as Minnesota beat Connecticut. Moore added 29 points Friday as the Lynx beat the Chicago Sky. Most recently, she scored 32 points, including a franchise-record 30 second half points, as the Lynx came back to beat Tulsa 79-72 Sunday night. She also had 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in the win.

Sunday's win over Tulsa marked her 25th career double-double and fourth this season.\

The Lynx host Connecticut Wednesday night at Target Center.
