Long Range Minnesota Forecaster Expects Pleasant Summer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A long range forecaster in Minnesota expects our summer to be quite pleasant.

Frank Watson was a guest on WCCO Radio's News and Views program with Roshini Rajkumar.

"I like this summer coming up," Watson said.

Watson said two years ago, we had a blistering hot summer, and then last year it was more normal.

"I think we are on that same track," he said.

He said he expects we will slowly ease into the hot weather.

"We really haven't shaken off that winter jet stream. It's still lingering around," he said.

He added the number of thunderstorm dates will also be down this summer.
