Local Alzheimer's Association Chapter Focuses On Diversity At Conference

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Just about everybody knows someone who has been touched by dementia.

But did you know that Hispanics/Latinos and African-Americans in the United States are at a higher risk for Alzheimer's Disease?

Diversity is the theme of this year's Meeting of the Minds Dementia Conference.

The conference takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

Debbie Richman, Vice President of Education and Outreach at the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter, spoke to WCCO about the upcoming conference.
