LinkedIn To Pay $13M For Sending Too Many Emails

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – LinkedIn has agreed to pay $13 million for sending users too many emails.

It's all part of a settlement stemming from a 2013 lawsuit linked to the social networking site's 'add connections' feature. Some LinkedIn members were upset that address book contacts they'd requested to connect with had received multiple reminder emails.

The settlement affects those who used the feature between 2011 and 2014.

Users have until December 14 to submit a claim.

Customers could be paid up to $1,500 dollars each.
