Lewis, Micheletti, Halldorson To Join 'M' Club

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The University of Minnesota athletics Hall of Fame class this year will include basketball standout Quincy Lewis, hockey star Pat Micheletti and women's hockey coach Laura Halldorson.

The university announced Thursday the 13 inductees for 2014 in the "M" Club. They'll be honored at a ceremony at TCF Bank Stadium on Oct. 9 and bring "M" Club membership to 319.

Lewis was a key player on the 1997 Final Four team who finished his Gophers career sixth on the all-time scoring list.

Micheletti has the second-most goals in program history, behind John Mayasich.

Halldorson was the first coach of the women's hockey team who guided the Gophers to three national championships.
