Len Druskin Restructures, Closes Several Twin Cities Stores

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Twin Cities fashion retailer Len Druskin will close several stores in the coming days and weeks in a restructuring effort.

According to an email by Michael Druskin, president of Len Druskin, Inc., the company will close three of its nine locations in the Twin Cities – all three of which are located in Gaviidae Common in downtown Minneapolis.

LD Len Druskin and LD Blues will close on Sunday, Jan. 26, and Len Druskin Man will close sometime in February.

The City Center location will remain open, and more locations are expected to return to the area by 2015.

Michael Druskin says the remaining Twin Cities stores will eventually adhere to a unified brand and "premium" feel within the next two years.

"This restructuring means that shopping with us will be more consistent throughout the company and less confusing," Druskin said.

The stores will simply be called "Len." The flagship Galleria location in Edina will kick off the transition on Friday in an event called "Celebrate Len Druskin," featuring deep discounts throughout the store.

The downtown locations will also feature discounts beginning Friday.

The first Len Druskin store opened in 1976 in Edina's 50th & France shopping district.
