Large Crowd Expected For Garnett's Timberwolves Return

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials with the Minnesota Timberwolves said Monday a large crowd is expected Wednesday night when they host the Washington Wizards at Target Center.

Kevin Garnett will make his debut, for the second time, Wednesday. He is expected to practice with the Timberwolves on Tuesday and will be introduced to the media at a 3 p.m. news conference. Minutes before the NBA trade deadline, the Timberwolves sent Thaddeus Young to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Garnett.

Timberwolves officials said Monday they've released all ticket holds and added 1,000 seats for the game. There are a limited number of tickets available on the team's web site. Due to the large crowd expected for the game, fans are encouraged to arrive early at Target Center. Doors for season-ticket holders open at 5:30 p.m. and for the general public at 6 p.m.

Garnett spent 12 seasons in Minnesota before being traded to the Boston Celtics, where he won an NBA title.
