Lakeville Man Arrested In 31-Year-Old Murder Case
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 53-year-old Lakeville man has been arrested in connection to a 31-year-old murder case that happened in Denton, TX, according to police.
On Sept. 30, 1983, 42-year-old Francisco Narvaez of San Antonio was found dead in a local motel. Denton Police investigated, but tips and leads went cold.
However, new leads developed and evidence was discovered recently that lead to the indictment of a man identified as Robert Otteson. The case was submitted to the Grand Jury by the Denton County District Attorney's Office on Aug. 8, 2014 and a True Bill of Indictment was returned the same day.
On Tuesday, Lakeville Police arrested Otteson. Investigators from the Denton Police Department and a Texas Ranger were present during the arrest.
The investigation is on-going.
