Lake McCarrons Beach Closed Due To High E. Coli Levels
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A popular Roseville beach is closed after water quality tests showed the E. coli levels were not safe for water recreation.
The swimming beach at Lake McCarrons County Park closed Wednesday after recent testing found high levels of the bacteria. Several other beaches in the area recently closed due to elevated E. coli levels, including Chaska's Clayhole Swim Beach at Firemen's Park which reopened Thursday.
Almost 120 people reported sicknesses after spending the 4th of July on Lake Minnetonka, but officials say no E. coli was found in the water.
