Kylie's Kids: Ireland Gets A New Heart

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One of Kylie's Kids is beginning to make a recovery.

On Monday, WCCO learned that Ireland's wait for a heart is over.

The St. Louis Park 7-year-old was born with a congenital heart defect. Last week, she was still awaiting a transplant in Chicago.

On Sunday Ireland received the news she'd been waiting for. She received a new heart.

Ireland underwent surgery and her mom says she is doing well. She's off bypass and her heart is beating on its own.

The next few hours are very critical, so the family is asking for good thoughts and prayers for Ireland, their family and, of course, for the donor family as well.
