Kids Who Play Video Games Do Better In School, Study Finds
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Parents may have a hard time getting their kids to put down the video game controller and pick up a book.
But now, an Australian study of 12,000 teenagers shows those who routinely play video games do better in school.
But teens who frequent Facebook or chat sites are more likely to trail their peers in math, reading and science.
Researchers say video games could help students apply and sharpen the skills they're taught in school.]
