MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's official -- Kenny Chesney's Saturday concert at Target Field was the most attended event in the venue's history.

A spokesman for the Twins' baseball stadium said the concert officially sold out at 44,152 people. That's compared to the previous record of 43,940 two years ago, which was also set by Chesney, along with the Zac Brown Band.

Chesney took the stage at around 9:00 p.m., and even donned at Twins cap, much to the delight of fans.

The concert is part of his "Big Revival Tour," after taking a year off to write new music in 2014.
