Keillor's Final Minnesota 'Prairie Home Companion' Show Sells Out

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Garrison Keillor has sold out his final Minnesota shows as host of "A Prairie Home Companion."

Keillor sold out his Feb. 13, 20 and 27 shows at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. All of those shows will have rush tickets available on show day.

After four decades of entertaining radio audiences, Keillor announced last July that he plans to step down as "Prairie Home" host after this season. His designated successor, mandolinist Chris Thile (THEE'-lee), will guest host shows on Jan. 30 and Feb. 6. Tickets are still available for those shows.

Keillor will hit the road for his final shows. His final show as host is scheduled for Friday, July 1, from the Hollywood Bowl. That show will be taped and broadcast the next night.
