Jury Selection Begins In Trial Of Danielle Jalinek's Death
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The trial begins Monday for a man accused of killing an Oakdale woman.
Hundreds of volunteers spent five months searching for Danielle Jelinek, who was reported missing on Dec. 9, 2013. Her body was eventually found in a small pond near the house of her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Schnagl.
Schnagl is charged with third-degree murder. Investigators believe he gave Jelinek some kind of drug, which led to her death.
According to court records, jury selection will begin at the Chisago County Courthouse Monday. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
Schnagl is currently serving a 6.5-year jail sentence for cocaine possession.
