Joe Mauer Helps Turn Patients Into Superheroes

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Twins turned hospital patients into superheroes on Thursday.

Joe Mauer and other Twins players delivered capes to patients at St. Paul's Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare as part of the team's Hope Week.

The hospital provides specialized care to people with short or long-term disabilities than begin during childhood.

This is the Twins' sixth annual Hope Week.

They use the week to give back to their community through volunteer activities.
