MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - We know he's pretty good on a baseball diamond, but how will Joe Mauer do with a 7-10 split?

Mauer hosted the Lanes For Friendship, a fundraiser for the Highland Friendship Club.

The group provides teenagers and adults with disabilities a chance to establish friendships with others.

"It's a lot of fun to see the same faces year in and year out," Mauer said. "To see a lot of the kids and young adults--how much they've changed physically, their social skills."

He said he's a little rusty at bowling, and he wasn't confident he's the best one on the lane.

He brought some other Twins with him, including pitcher Glen Perkins and the team's new manager, Paul Molitor.
