Jerry Kill's Book Signing Benefit At TCF Bank Stadium Raises Nearly $200K

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Former University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill hosted a book signing event that raised nearly $200,000 for his epilepsy fund.

On Friday, the Coach Kill Book Signing Benefit hosted 200-plus guests for a short program and breakfast at TCF Bank Stadium.

The event was to highlight the release of Kill's new book, "Chasing Dreams: Living My Life One Yard At A Time", which chronicles his football career, struggles with epilepsy and his national advocacy work for people who suffer from the disease.

The event raised nearly $200,000 for the Chasing Dreams Coach Kill Epilepsy Fund, which Kill and his wife founded through the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN).

"Coach Kill coming back to Minnesota to support epilepsy through the release of his new book underscores the commitment he pledged two years ago to the 60,000 people with epilepsy in our community," said Heidi Fisher, EFMN Executive Director.

Kill is now the associate athletic director at Kansas State.
