Sources: Jerry Kill To Become Offensive Coordinator At Rutgers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It appears the former football coach at the University of Minnesota has a new home.

Sources tell WCCO's Mike Max that Jerry Kill is set to become the next offensive coordinator at Rutgers. Sources say an announcement is expected early this week.

Kill had to retire as Gophers football coach in October of 2015 due to health concerns with recurring seizures. He most recently has been a special assistant to the head coach at Kansas State, but never ruled out a return to coaching if it was the right fit.

Kill made it known after his retirement that he wanted to work within the Gophers athletic department and help with the football program. But could not reach an agreement with administrators on a role within the department.

Minnesota does not face Rutgers until the 2019 season.
