Man Found Dead In Foley Park In September Accidentally Drowned

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a man found dead in a park in central Minnesota in September died due to accidental drowning.

On Sept. 12, Foley police responded to a report of a body found in Lion's Park. At the scene they found the body of an adult male. Evidence indicated he had been dead for several days.

One day later, the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 35-year-old Jason Beaufeaux.

Friday, the Benton County Sheriff's Office announced the Midwest Medical Examiner determined Beaufeaux's death was an accidental drowning.
