Public Memorial Service Planned For Jacob Wetterling

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The public is invited to say goodbye to a Minnesota boy so many of us felt we came to know.

For nearly 30 years, Minnesotans prayed and hoped that Jacob Wetterling would come home.

Last week, his kidnapper confessed to murdering Jacob in 1989.

Sunday, Sept. 25, the College of St. Benedict will host a public memorial and healing service for the Wetterling family in St. Joseph.

Doors open at 9 a.m. Seating is limited, so if you plan to attend, please sign the online guestbook to receive location and driving directions.

The service will also be streamed online.
