It's Prime Time For Morel Mushroom Hunting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- You've heard of deer hunting and turkey hunting, but how about mushroom hunting?

It is prime time to forage for Minnesota's favorite mushroom, the morel.

If you haven't heard of them, they are prized by gourmet cooks.

Commercial value aside, they are hunted by thousands of Minnesotans every year simply for their taste and the joy of the hunt.

In the video above, Rapala fishing expert Joel Nelson and his sons -- Isaac and Micah -- take Natalie Nyhus and Mike Augustyniak out to scavenge for the coveted mushrooms!
