Brooklyn Park Man Dies In Itasca County Drowning
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a 58-year-old Brooklyn Park man died Tuesday in a drowning in Itasca County.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Office was called at about 9:20 a.m. on a report of a person floating in the water and a boat going in a circular direction on Cutfoot Sioux Lake, just north of Battle Point. The sheriff's office, along with Itasca County Search and Rescue, Leech Lake and DNR conservation officers responded to the scene.
Authorities identified the drowning victim as Michael Angelo Olynick. What led up to the incident is under investigation.
