Iowa Boy, 14, Shot In The Head

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Police are investigating the shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Des Moines.

Officers were sent to Iowa Methodist Medical Center around 6:15 p.m. Monday to check a report that a private vehicle had taken the boy to the hospital emergency room. The boy underwent surgery for a head wound, and police say he remained hospitalized Tuesday morning.

Police say a potential crime scene is being processed for evidence, but no arrests have been reported.
