Investigators Say Cause Of Fire That Killed 3 Undetermined

MINNEAPOLIS (AP/WCCO) — Minneapolis investigators say the cause of a fire that killed three young children has not been determined.

The Minneapolis Fire Department said in a statement Wednesday that while the cause cannot be proven, the fatal fire remains under investigation.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet identified the young victims, but a family pastor said they were the children of Taneisha Stewart.

They were identified as: 6-year-old Latorious, 5-year-old Latora and 1-year-old Latorianna.

Investigators say the fire last Saturday is believed to have started in the kitchen area.

A memorial service is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Church in Robbinsdale.
