Police ID Woman Hit By Car In St. Paul Crosswalk

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Police in St. Paul have identified the woman who was critically injured Monday after being hit by a car in a crosswalk.

The victim was 34-year-old Erin Elizabeth Durham of St. Paul. Police said Tuesday that she remains in critical condition at Regions Hospital.

A car struck Durham around 8 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Greenbrier Street. Durham suffered major head trauma, police said.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, cooperated with authorities. Police say she showed no initial signs of impairment.

So far this year, more than 50 pedestrians and bicyclists have been hit by cars in St. Paul.

Officials in the city are working to make crosswalks safer and drivers more aware.
