Lane Closures On I-94 In St. Paul Begin Tuesday Night

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A major thoroughfare will be closed overnight Tuesday.

Interstate 94 between St. Paul and Minneapolis will experience lane closures overnight Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

According to Minnesota Department of Transportation, the eastbound lanes of I-94 will be closed between Marion Street and Lexington Parkway from 11 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Then, on Wednesday, the westbound lanes of I-94 between Marion Street and Lexington Parkway will be closed between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday.

Drivers should follow detours using Interstate 35E, Highway 36 and Highway 280.

The closure is due to crews setting beams for the MacKubin Street and Grotto Street pedestrian and bike bridges.

These bridges will remain closed until November.
