Hutchinson Woman Sentenced In Christopher Rossing's Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Hutchinson woman has been sentenced for her role in the death of Christopher Rossing.

On Thursday in Wright County Court, Gwen Butcher received a stay of imposition, credit for 11 days, 20 years of probation and other fines & conditions. She previously pleaded guilty to obstructing justice.

In October 2015, Robert Nuttall of Hutchinson was sentenced to 22 years in prison in connection to Rossing's death. He previously pleaded guilty to unintentionally murdering Rossing during a fight last summer.

Nuttall and his girlfriend, Butcher, were the last people seen with Rossing after a night of drinking.

Months later, investigators discovered Rossing's bone fragments and teeth in a fire pit near Nuttall's farm.

As part of the plea deal, Nuttall did not have to give details of Rossing's death. He only admitted the two got into a roadside fight that led to Rossing's death.

Nuttall was Butcher's boyfriend.
