Hunter Lost, Hypothermic Found In Beltrami County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A hunter who went missing Thursday has been found, though not before reportedly sustaining hypothermia.

Greg Eckman used his cell phone to let authorities know that he was lost in the woods near Debs, and needed help because he didn't know exactly where he was.

He said he couldn't walk because of hypothermia.

Eventually, Beltrami County deputies were able to locate Eckman and take him to the hospital for evaluation.

His current condition was not immediately reported.
