Hunter Finds Human Skull In St. Croix County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A hunter found a human skull in the woods of St. Croix County.

The hunter found the skull Thursday evening found in Baldwin Township, south of the Union Pacific railroad tracks.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office does not suspect any foul play.

The hunter took deputies to a wooded area near the 2200 block of 70th Avenue.

Police found human remains near the skull.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy in hopes of identifying the remains.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
