Hudson Man Arrested After 13-Hour Standoff

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police and the area SWAT team used tear gas and pepper spray to end a 13-hour standoff Saturday in Hudson, Wisconsin.

Police say the man's girlfriend called them to a house near 5th and Myrtle streets around 3 a.m. because he was trashing the residence. She had gotten out of the home safely before police arrived.

The suspect -- 28-year-old Jonathan Klisch -- is said to have a history of violence, and officers put the neighborhood on lockdown because there were weapons in the home.

Officers arrested the suspect just after 4 p.m. He was seen walking with officers, and appeared unharmed.
