Hudson Family Shaken After Lightning Strikes Home

HUDSON, Wis. (WCCO) -- A Hudson man is shaken, to say the least, after lightning rocked his home Saturday night.

Jason Stohl showed WCCO the damage at his house. Lightning hit the roof, his power went out, and several appliances and electrical outlets were wiped out.

The lightning struck just feet away from where his twins were sleeping.

"I could feel it. It hit the house then it shook the whole house so it was pretty intense," Stohl said. "Never felt something like that before."

The family was just fine after the strike, and Stohl says the twins managed to sleep through the entire experience.

It appears a nearby school, River Crest Elementary, was also hit by a lightning bolt.
