Section Of Southbound I-35E Closed In St. Paul After Horse Trailer Tips Over
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Crews are working to clear a horse trailer on southbound Interstate 35E in St. Paul early Thursday morning after it tipped over with five horses inside.
The Minnesota State Patrol says that the crash happened shortly before 3 a.m. near the University Avenue intersection. No one was hurt in the crash, but three horses died. The other two were rescued and loaded onto a different trailer.
The crash closed southbound I-35E between Highway 52 and Interstate 94 for several hours, with traffic being diverted onto westbound I-94.
The State Patrol is investigating a crash (no injuries to driver) SB Highway 35E near University Ave. in St. Paul. The crash involved a truck that was hauling a trailer with five horses. Three of the horses are deceased. Exits to EB 94 and SB 52 are closed. Find alternate route.
