Horse Loose On Hennepin Avenue Bridge Recaptured Safely

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Minneapolis police galloped into action Friday evening when a loose horse ventured onto the Hennepin Avenue bridge.

A trailer broke down and the horse came loose. Police said the horse "was spooked."

Police were able to recapture the horse safely and the bridge was not shut down, though southbound traffic was briefly diverted.

The driver of the horse carriage may have been injured.
