Homicide Investigation Underway After Woman Found Dead In North Minneapolis Alley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police are investigating after a woman was found dead Wednesday morning in an alley on the city's north side.

The Minneapolis Police Department says officers were called shortly after 7 a.m. to the 3600 block of Knox Avenue North, in the city's Folwell neighborhood. At the scene, officers found a woman's body with "obvious signs of trauma." The victim was believed to be in her 20s.

The death is being investigated as a homicide. Police are working to figure out what led to the victim's death and where she was injured.

So far, no arrests have been made. The victim's name will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
