Homeowner Escapes Fire In Golden Valley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say one person got out safely but a home sustained extensive damage in a fire Sunday night.

Fire crews were called at about 7:30 p.m. to a house fire on the 1500 block of Orkla Drive. When crews arrived, smoke and flames were showing from the roof.

Authorities say one person inside the residence at the time of the fire got out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Golden Valley Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department.
