High Schools Reviewing Security After Prom Shooting

ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) — A shooting during the Antigo High School's prom last weekend has other school districts reviewing their own security plans for the spring dance.

WJFW-TV says the Rhinelander school district has been working with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office to make sure its plans for this weekend's prom will keep everyone safe.

And in southern Wisconsin, Oconomowoc police are adding patrols in light of the shooting in Antigo.

WISN-TV reports the Oconomowoc School District says it's just being proactive for this weekend's prom. Police also plan to patrol the post-prom celebration at the YMCA.

Antigo police say a former student opened fire outside the high school prom Saturday night and wounded two students before an officer shot and killed the gunman.
