High School League Certifies Anders Broman As Top Scorer

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota State High School League has certified Anders Broman as the state's all-time leading basketball scorer.

The MSHSL announced Monday it has completed a review of documentation provided by Broman's former coach at Lakeview Christian Academy in Duluth, in consultation with Minnesota boys basketball historian Matt Pederson.

Broman finished with 5,119 points in a six-year varsity career. His per-game averages of 43.7 points as a junior and 41.5 points as a senior are also the top two marks in state history.

Broman's high school career ended in 2013. He started at South Dakota State but has transferred to Winthrop University in South Carolina.

The all-time leading girls basketball scorer in the state is Rebekah Dahlman, who had 5,060 points for Braham.
