High Court's Ginsburg To Address Minnesota Crowd

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Ahead of a new Supreme Court term, one justice is offering a Minnesota audience her view from the court.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was to be at the University of Minnesota's Law School on Tuesday as part of a lecture series. Ginsburg has been on the court for two decades and is one of its most senior members.

Event organizers say Ginsburg was planning to address trends within the court and the judiciary at large. But she's also supposed to take questions from the audience.

The high court reconvenes next month after a momentous term that ended in June.

Legal watchers are awaiting word from the court on whether it will tackle significant cases dealing with gay marriage and abortion.
