Heavy Snow Expected In East Central Minn, NW Wis

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Just when you thought we might have turned the corner on winter-like weather comes word of 9 to 14 inches of snow expected in east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.

Forecasters expect the heaviest snow to fall between Duluth and Hinckley, Minn., and in the northwestern Wisconsin counties closest to Lake Superior. The National Weather Service posted a winter storm watch for late Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

Winds gusts of 30 to 40 mph could reduce driving visibility to less than one-quarter of a mile, especially closer to the lake.
